Default tick remote bleeder for my new clutch, worth it?

Upgrading to a mcleod rst twin disk from my current LS7, with chromoly flywheel. Leaving my current hydraulics since they have <15k miles and 2 years old. My question: should I get the $50 remote bleeder from tick since I will have the tranny out? Trying to decide if it is worth it, I saw a few posts from a while back where people had pro blems with them leaking, hoping those are fixed. Is it worth it?

They are pretty nice pieces! They certainly are required, but if you have the $50 to burn, I'd get it. It makes bleeding the system alot easier.

There are no leaking issues with our Remote SPEEDbleeder Line when installed correctly.

Turns out its $59 with shipping, that is a bit high. Are there any other options?

cut a hole in the tranny tunnel so that you can bleed while inside the car. thats an option.

UPS Ground cost is usually ~$8-12 anywhere in the country. Alternatively, you could pick the line up here at our location, or..

You can make your own by removing the stock piece, adding fittings AN line and bleeder on top.

HOWEVER... $49 is a much better deal than putting one together yourself

While you may think ~$60 is high for the speed bleeder (as I did) after you get one you wont be too worried about it. After I got mine, my brother got one and all of my buddies that have manual cars followed shortly after. It makes life ALOT easier!!!

I have only seen one that leaked and it was becuase it wasnt tightened down. They are very nice peices and well worth the money if you plan on driving your manual like it needs to be.

Fine. I ordered it, I'll let everyone know how it goes. But tick your prices do seem to be much higher than anywhere else. Your Mcleod RST clutch kit would have been $720, whereas its <$700 at ws6store and $647 at Byunspeed. Unique parts like this speed bleeder and the adjustable master though of course you can get away with it. Not bashing, just FYI in case you re-evaluate your price points occasionally. I am excited though I am sure this will be a nice piece.

Price out the line and fittings, it would cost you almost $50 for the parts used to make the bleeder (ask me how I know)

I don't have the Tick Bleeder, but the one I have leaks. I pulled the tranny twice to fix it, but it still leaks. I'll never put another one on a car lol.

The only other option is to get a friend to help you, which is pretty simple.
