Default t56 rebuild

Im having some issues with my 6speed, it shifts awsome into all gears accept 3rd and 4th

When its cold it grinds into 3rd and 4th unless i really baby it, and once it warms up it only grinds into 3rd and 4th only shifting quikly like in a racing situation..

Does any sponsers offer a rebuild kit with upgraded parts, and does my problem sound like its the syncros

Also sometimes when I go into reverse it will not actually engage into the gear and I have to put back into nuetral and try again

I would think a basic rebuild package with upgraded shift fork should resolve your problems. If you want to upgrade the shift keys while its a part, thats not a bad idea.

http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...body/t56parts/

Tick sells packages of the parts they use in their rebuilds

I ship T56s all the time, and actually the cost ranges between $80 & $100 each way thru UPS to the lower 48 states.

Tick has some decent deals on parts. Parts have been limited lately, so I am not selling anything unless I'm doing the rebuild anyway.

Not calling ur info false, but the t56 has to go out freight and last time I shipped one out ups freight it ran me around $200. And that was a couple years ago, and im sure their rates only increased since then..

Anyways back on topic, so do my symptoms sound like a simple worn sycro condition, I just dont wanna order a basic rebuild kit plus the upgraded stage 2 parts, and then have to order more parts if I can narrow down where my problem lies

Thanks

I would also call tick performance. I ordered their rebuild kit and did it myself. Took a little bit of time and patients but got it all back together and couldnt be happier!

That explains it then. You are absolutely right, Freight is expensive! The trick to it is keeping the weight under 150lbs, so it doesn't have to go freight. If you check my website or Tick's website, it explains this. Long as you use a 45 gallon rubber tote, and remove all the crap that is not needed (shifter, solenoids, slave cyl, etc), and drain all the fluid. It will come to 140ish pounds.
