Question Anyone ever shortend a B&M Ripper shifter shaft?

Like the title said....i wanna shorten my shifter and rethread the top for the shift ****. Anyone ever done this on this particular shifter since its a solid shaft? Curious as to what it shifts and feels like in the car and also if anyone has an installed pic of it in the car. I don't wanna buy a new shifter just to get it shorter. Thanks alot

You can shorten it and get new threads machined. Or just toss it like I did and get a Pro with a short stick. I didn't like the 11 oclock orientation of the ripper anyway.

I have the real old gen 1 ripper and I would like to shorten it some too. Seems you can cut it down and re-thread it.
