Default Will a older style 11" clutch/pressure plate work on a new LS1 flywheel?

I've got a very low mile 11" clutch and pressure plate from my old 60's SBC that I would like to attach to a LS1 for my chevelle. Clutch is a zoom 11" 26 spline, I had a tremec behind my sbc. Any reason why I can't do this? I have heard it bolts right up but some bolt on the PP might be a tad tight.

Also, I am looking at just getting a NAPA flywheel for $150, anything wrong with these in a basic stock application?

Any input appreciated.

I have an ls1 pressure plate and ls1 flywheel with 11 in clutch going to a ford 5 speed in my 68 camaro. It works fine. Mine is a 10 spline disc to match trans imput shaft but same idea as yours. I am using a heavy duty segmeted disk just to have a little more abuse margin.

Thanks Chuck, I'm more concerned about the older pressure plate.
