1st & Reverse Fine Until Hot
99 Trans-Am LS1.
I replaced my clutch with one from Advanced that was non-adjustable. This kit had pressure plate, disc, pilot, and throwout. I had the flywheel dressed at the machine shop. I immediately had issues with 1st and reverse not working. After bleeding myself silly, I thought I would just replace the master cylinder. I did not perform the drill mod though. I had success it seemed until you drove it for a few miles. It would not shift easily into 1st and REV was a no go. I pulled trans again and replaced slave cylinder and added shim. I've bled and bled and Mighty Vac'd. I have same symptoms. Works like a champ cold, when hot, its a nightmare. Any suggestions short of getting a different clutch?
