Default Is a Spec 3+ clutch setup a hassle in city driving conditions?

Is there a big difference between a stock LS6 clutch setup and a Spec 3+ as far as leg pressure and easy of engagement? Thanks

I had a 3+ as well.. I liked it but after about an hour of traffic and stop n go lights I got tired of clutching... Only thing indefinite hated biut it was it did work on my 10 bolt... Three times.. Snapped the pinion clean in half three times.. Ha.. It's a good clutch tho..

Like they said, not a stiff pedal but it does not like to be slipped.

Hmmmm..... My spec 3+ is the exact opposite of you guys. It is stiff as hell and I can slip it fairly easy.

Hell yall are scaring me now with all this stuff about breaking the rear end 3 times..

Im looking at a 3+ myself that im possibly buying tonight. Only thing is, my car is a full bolt on car with nitrous, with stock gears, 6 speed, and a stock rear end.. Should I re-think the Spec 3+???

I think I will dump the 3+ setup I bought and look into the LS7.

I have personally driven our 3+ in these cars and countless other cars as well and I have never thought any of them were hard to drive. The full-faced design of the disc allow for good engagement and drivability. Of course it will bite harder than a stock clutch but it is much more progressive than a Stage 3, 4 or 5. This is a great set-up for a high output application that will be driven on the street too. Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be happy to assist you further. Thanks,

I'm satisfied with my 3+ also, it has an aggressive engagement, but it certainly isn't all or nothing

PM sent...

Driveability is all relative. Some think Specs are hard to drive while others think a stage 3+ is mild...

You really have to drive a vehicle equipped to be able to figure it for yourself. Personally, I have never had an issue with a SPEC unit driving around.

Sorry, I hated my spec 3+. Stiff, chatter and only lasted long enough to order an ls7. You are going to need steroids for your left leg.

mines not that stiff. def grabs hard, and doesnt like to be slipped much, ie.. in stop/go putting around, but not noisy at all. ive drivin a centerforce DFX equipped mach 1, and hated stop/go... chatters, and stiff *** pedal... i guess to each is own...
