I got a general idea and have read a previous walkthrough but was curious does it normally come with a install guide or a box or anything? Im sure it works fine - here's how it came in w/ my engine mounts

To adjust the pedal start with the rod length as short as possible. Fire the car up and try putting it in gear. It will most likely be very notchy, so lengthen the rod. I think the little instruction guide said to adjust it in one revolution increments. You want it to be just long enough to where the car shifts smooth, and while the car doesn't move with the clutch pushed in when you rev it up.

Over adjusting it could damage it, but I don't think many people have actually hurt their systems by over adjusting it. Usually you'll find a sweet spot before you get it that long.

The little note said to make sure the theaded rod comming out of the master cylinder isn't spinning when you're making your adjustments. I'm not sure if there are any negative side effects to spinning that rod though... anyone know?

If the rod is spinning then it's not adjusting! Im sure that's all it means.
