Default Budget turbo transmission

The TR-3650 and NV4550 are probably my only options. Neither are optimal but both are cheap and will hold 500rwhp. I am leaning towards the NV (despite the wide ratio truck gearing) because i have seen 1000ftlb diesels launched in 4WD with this trans, so i assume it is strong like ox.

I know little of either transmission. Is there any tips or tricks that can help me out? Thanks.

What are you putting it into? And where are you located? I'm guessing its outside the U.S.

The TR3650 comes behind a GM engine in Canada? If you want cheap, go with an automatic. A TH400 is pretty cheap and can hold a decent amount of power.
