Default T56 Input shaft swap question

leaving out that the ls1 t56 is longer are there any differences that would keep me from installing one into an LT1 case with LT1 mid plate.

The reason I am asking is I need a longer input shaft to reach the crank/clutch disc on my setup.

both inputs have to be from the same 1-4 ratio gearset boxes. A 2.66 first gear 94-97 LT1 trans. will take a 2.66 MN6 LS1 input. Same bearings and synchro gear teeth.

Yup, they will swap just fine. Just as long as you don't have the oddball 93' model T56 (M29). Both inputs should have 31 teeth. I *think* there's a 1.5 inch difference. I have 3/8in spacers available if you don't need quite that much (1.5in). It goes btw the bellhousing and front of the T56. Or, I can make you an input shaft at any length.

This is an old one, but ran into the 1993 T56 earlier since I bought one, the above info is correct. 1993 LT Input Shaft is smaller on the drive gear, 1994 would have been the same size as the LS. Took a nice pic for reference.
