Default cant get into gear

Well the other day i was backing up a hill into a parking space when i stalled my 2000 t/a. I took it out of reverse and restarted it. Now it wont go into any gear while running, but when its off, it will go into gear. I have a monster III clutch and tick master and MGW shifter if it matters. I tried to start it in gear with the clutch in, but it just lurched as if the clutch wasn't even in. Any idea what this could be? TIA

-Brian

update. i closed the cutout, and there is a rattling noise when the clutch pedal is pushed in. When its released, it stops. Is this some sort of bearing?

Sounds like you have a slave or throwout bearing issue.

Well, the throw-out bearing and slave are connected in these cars...they are concentric...I just wanted to make sure you understood that as a first step towards trouble shooting. What you describe is most likely related to either a slave or master issue where a seal is damaged and leaking fluid. Check to see if there is any evidence of a leak under the car or on the firewall. Let ue know what you find and we can proceed with tech support from that point forward. Thanks,

well, my master cylinder has been making some squeaking noises, and there are a few spots on my floor mat that are obviously bleached from brake fluid. just recently, the squeaking stopped. i have not noticed any fluid on the firewall, but i can double check
