Default 2010 Camaro 6 spd

A friend called me to say he has a dealer take out from a 2010 Camaro 6 spd manual. He ran the numbers on it and it is from behind the 6.2L. That is all the information we have on it.

Is this a transmission worth messing with. I can't find any information on it. I am wanting to put it behind a 03 LQ4 in my 89 GMC Sierra. Any information would be awesome, my searches have been worthless.

It has an integrated bellhousing and called a TR6060 or T6060 for your searches.. It's not a drop in, but can be adapted if you're inclined..

Well, there isn't going to be a drop in 6 spd for my truck. With a camaro or GTO 6 spd, I need to cut a new shifter hole. Should be able to re-use my driveshaft and clutch master cyl.

I didn't even know what transmission they used. I never cared before I heard from him today.

I need to know what sort of shifter does it use, how does the shifter position related to the T56 shifter because I really can't go much further back, slip yoke or fixed, is the mount different, do I have to use a specail clutch or will a LS1 clutch work.

So if I am reading that right, the shifter is basically in the same position as a GTO but offset to the driver side. Otherwise, everything will but up the same as a T56.

It has that goofy shifter setup just like a CTS-V and a really deep bellhousing. I would convert it to the 98-02 style f-body trans. It looks like you can just use an f-body tailhousing, front plate & bellhousing. Then of course the shift rail would have to be changed. You might have to change the length of the input shaft too, but that can easily be done (a service that I offer). The advantages of doing this would be; you can use a reasonably priced aftermarket shifter, a conventional slave cylinder, and it would fit for sure.
I'd like to get ahold of one of these trannys to do the conversion. It sure would be a lot better than paying $4000+ for the TR6060/Magnum

Well, if nothing else, I will PM you a price. They are going to let me have it as a core because the input bearing has wear or something like that. I will let you know what I decide.
