Transmission "Re-Fin"? = Rebuild for $320?
I'm looking at a 2002 SS which the owner claims had a transmission rebuild. I asked him for a copy of the receipt and it just confused me even more. It lists a clutch install for $450 as well as a "Transmission Re-Fin" (the owner is claiming this is the rebuild) that only cost $320.
To me, $320 seems much too cheap for any real work to have been done to the transmission - but I would like your opinions. Could a "rebuild" really have been done for $320?
Pictures of the receipt:

I've never heard of a re-fin...lol
I would guess that they charged $320 to R&R the tranny and $450 for the new clutch. So the $847 is nothing but a clutch installed. Probably a stock one if I had to guess. I would bet the tranny is not rebuilt. That alone is anywhere from $700-1500, and that's what I charge (which is cheaper than almost anywhere)
