Default LS2 Flywheel

I'm apologize in advance if this may be a stupid question, but I currently run the famous LS7 clutch/LS2 flywheel combo. I'll be rebuilding the T56 soon and was thinking about stepping it up to maybe the Monster Stage 3.

Will the flywheel mate to any other clutch setup?

I'd like to possible resurface the flywheel and use that cash saved for a Tick Master.

What are your thoughts?

I believe the LS2 flywheel needed for the LS7 clutch is the stepped or raised edge piece. The monster stage 3 clutch has a flat faced flywheel, so I don't think it would interchange. Maybe if you had the GTO LS2 flywheel (which does not have the raised edges) it would work, but I think what you have isn't usable.

On the bright side, a few threads down BYUNSPEED is offering $100 monster clutches through february..
