Default T56 Transmission Mount - Couple of questions...

Where can I get a tranny mount for my T56? No one locally has them... AZ and advance dont even have them in the computers!

Are they the same as the auto or no? Any compatability from other cars?

I should also ask do you guys think my issue is my tranny mount? Sometimes when hitting the peddle hard I hear a thump sound. Also seems like it 'bounces' in the rear wheels a bit (sorry its hard to explain).

Any tips on changing it out? Can I lift the tranny with a jack and change it out with the cross member and tranny still and place?

TIA

This mount you can get at Auto Zone. They don't list it by model. Just take them that part number and they should be able to find it. I recommend leaving the preload plate out of it. If you install it, it will change your pinion angle slightly and it will cause a lot of vibration through your shifter.

No problem. The preload plate is the rectangle pleace of metal that goes between the mount and the transmission.

Checked damned near everywhere; nothing came up in any of the systems. Checked on the shelves at each place a none matched said part numbers.

they'll be by the Energy Suspension swaybar endlinks and stuff if they have them

I used part #31108 with my automatic, I know they have that at the autozone by me

I also shaved off the two nubs on top when I had my poly mount, and had no vibration

I looked on autozones website and this looks like their part number they are listing. 3.1132R looks like autozones part number. If your auto zone is anything like the ones around here the workers are complete idiots. Good luck, hope you can find it because I know for a fact they carry them here.

They all only had the one that therealcreeper mentioned. The workers here are very smart actually. We're on first name basis LOL. At AZ the manager checked the shelves and the computer (looking at different things), and hopeing for a result. He even showed me the 31108, but that didnt match the number you gave me.

That sucks, sorry man. There are quire a few different part numbers but they are basically the same. Most GM tranmission mounts are very similar. As long as the mount looks like this one it will be fine. If they had the one therealcreeper mentioned that will work for you.
