you might get a check engine light. The only thing connected to my T56 is the VSS

You won't miss the skip shift much.

The reverse shift effort will be high but do-able.

yep I ran with no reverse lockout on my swap for a while, just takes two hands to push it over. I got lazy and just hooked it up to my reverse light switch so I can put it in reverse as long as I'm on the brake.

Never hooked up CAGS, i wired reverse lockout to my back-up lights, it was just too big of a pain to have to use two hands to put it in reverse.

good, i was thinking by not hooking up the solenoids it would interfere and not let me shift into certain gears.
Thanks for the info

on my old car I never hooked them up. I took the solenoid out and then put a bigger spring under the plunger. used some RTV in the hole where the solenoid was and tapped a cap in place. this gave me a little more effort going into reverse so I couldn't just slide in on the hwy.

The reverse lockout is there to make sure you don't wreck the car or explode the transmission by accidentally putting the car in to reverse instead of 5th while you are at speed. Its a good thing to have hooked up and working.

What's broken? The connector on the solenoid or the wire that plugs in to it. If its the later, you can get a new connector body.

Seriously? Not wiring up reverse lockout? It takes 5 minutes, if you know which wires to splice into.

its the connector on the solenoid...
i understand it is really simple to hook up... which i am not going to use the "broken connector" as an excuse to not hook it up... im defiantly going to hook it up now.

i suppose i have to buy a whole new solenoid tho...

Depends. Can you post a pic? If a piece of the connector is broken, do you still have it?
