Default Clutch pedal in, inconsisant grinding noise

I have a 00 M6 TA w/100k.

Recently I have noticed a grinding metal on metal sound coming from my clutch assembly area. It only happens at idle or about 1k-2k rpms, in gear or neutral, clutch pedal pushed IN.

The clutch was replaced by the PO 15k miles ago or so. It has no grinds or trouble entering any gears whatsoever. Just a super ugly noise that concerns me.

Throwout bearing maybe? any help is appreciated, thanks.

Was the Throwout bearing replaced? even if it was it sounds like thats your problem unless you have a broken pp finger or something.

When I got the car I asked the PO if the TO bearing was replaced. He wasn't sure since he had it done by a shop, and no documents of it being replaced.

If it helps, sometimes when I shift I get a "whirr" sound and vibration that comes through the shifter, but its only 25% of the time.

thanks

Time to pull the transmission and inspect slave and clutch.
