GM states that it is a lifetime fluid. I'm not sure how they came to that conclusion, but I changed mine anyway multiple times. It certainly isn't difficult to do, so I figured why not?

I know my transmission felt smoother after I changed my 100k mile trans fluid.. Why would you not change it? It's easy. I used Penzoil manual trans fluid

Thx for the help fellas; my ride has 42k, still all stock and just picked it up a couple days ago.I think I will change all the fluids so I have a starting point for my maintenance and previous owner didnt keep any real records-genius! Does seem to be in great shape though;I plan on keeping it stock except for wheels, tint and exhaust-when its needed.Thx again

the atf doesn't get as hot and pick up as much debris as it would in an auto. GM is just trying to do the same as the rest of the auto industry and make the operating costs of the cars show less so more people will buy there product over the next.
