Default tranny hitting floor?

ok, ive searched and searched and cant find a good answer. sounds like my tranny is coming up and hitting the floor during hard acceleration and shifting. also letting the clutch out to do a burnout. do you think its the factory trans mounted tq arm pushing it up? ive replaced tranny mount and tq arm mount with poly stuff. tq arm bolts are tight tranny is tight. it has done it since i bought the car now its worse with sticky tires, 4.10 gears and a spec 3 clutch. help is much appreciated. i was thinking about going with a tunnel mount umi setup.

my poly mount sounded like the trans was hitting the tunnel every time I hit a bump, did you use the "preload plate" it came with? (assuming it's energy suspension) because that will raise the trans a bit

Do you have headers? If so, that might be what's hitting the bottom of the car. Check your motor mounts.

i have stock exhaust. didnt come with a "plate". it did this before the mounts. i bought them assuming it would fix the problem and because my stock tranny mount was torn into 3 pieces. i do notice some vibration from the new mount though. it makes the same noise in reverse also but worse! it sounds like something is loose or something somewhere is bad haha. ill have to check my motor mounts.

If your trans mount was bad your engine mounts probably are too.

Is your car lowered? If it is the torque arm will hit the floor back by the rearend. It will hit in the tunnel in between the rear seats.

This is correct. Some y-pipes really bang the floor during acceleration. I run a Kooks off road and it fits snug against the floor. Every time you hit the throttle it smacks the floor pretty bad.

I would go with the motor mounts too........Mine was quiet when i had stock y now that i have 3" off road y with lt headers its a nice smack! i hate it so much. When i do a burnout to take it down the track it sounds like someone takes a hammer to the floor. I'm an idiot i know everyone, I should of done the motor mounts when i did the headers but after 9 hours and countless flipping out i wasnt in the mood to do them. I'll do the mount next week. But I am sure thats what it is on your car also. Once we start beating these they get weak quick!!!
