Default Need some help won't go into any gear t56 00z28

Well I was driving around one day and noticed my car started to get really hard to get into gear, thought maybe it just got hot so its alittle notchy well, it got worse and to the point where I can't get the car in any gear, and when it is turned off I can put it in gear and try and start it and most fo the time it keeps going like I have my foot off the clutch. Nothing has been replaced in the time I have had it, it has a ram HD clutch, adjustable m/c ram also, and a tic performance speed bleed. Any ideas?

Sounds like your slave cylinder has failed.

Also check your speed bleeder for leaks. They are really bad about leaking. We have removed and replaced more than a few leakers over the years.

That could definitely be your problem. Where is it pouring out of?

looks like it is coming from the slave itself, between the bellhousing and the motor.

also there is a crack along my bellhousing on the underside, it looks like it came from inside working out. I never heard a clatter or anything, so I don't know if it is the clutch that came apart or pressure plate.

Wow man Sounds like you need to pull the trans and inspect everything. That crack might be spreading when you push the clutch in too.

well got it all tore apart, aparently a bolt from the rear main seal worked loose sheered off and dropped into the bellhousing getting spun around and beat up and ended up working a hole and cracked my hellhousing, looks to be that the slave went out. so a nice and new bellhousing from gm is coming in, new slave. and pray it all works

You should have taken that as a warning from fate and ordered a quicktime SFI from RPM instead of another stocker....

I am fine with a stocker, I dont' know why or how that backed out. It is just as GM built it. I am going to undo them all and add some blue lock tite and retorque them all down.

The bolt was just a warning.. Next time it will be the entire clutch slicing through the bellhousing, the floorboards and windowing the back of the block..

Just saying..... I wouldn't have bothered throwing money at another stock bellhousing..

I gotta agree. I've seen a couple clutch explosions and the car might as well be totalled when its done. It is a mess. Might be a little more money, but definitely worth the piece of mind.

Yea I honestly would try to get an SFI bell too. Parts slinging around at that rate of speed that close to my legs doesn't sit well with me personally. If you have a core T56 sitting around I'll trade you an SFI bellhousing for it. Or we are doing a groupe buy special on them for $469+shipping.
