my T56 has over 150000 miles on it and the 4th gear syncro is completely screwed and i can hear the gears spinning its needles to say its time for a rebuild or a replacement but im trying to get the most bang for my buck and im going to have to buy tools to rebuild it and and as you all know this tranny is pretty expensive to buy new so please share your experiences and let me know what you have done or what you wish you would have done thank you.

Rebuilding/upgrading is always a good idea. However, It is not cost effective if you dont already own the tools to do it. PM Jeremy ar RPM to see how much it would be.
