Question 2nd Gear Grind

I just pulled the car out of storage, and on my first WOT run grinded 2nd gear twice I never grind 2nd gear.. So what gives?

I have a Textralia Z grip with maybe 3,500 miles on it.. My car isn't a DD, jsut a cruiser basically

Any ideas??

If the car has been sitting all winter you might try bleeding the clutch. Brake fluid wicks moisture something fierce so it might need to be changed also. Hope this helps.

If it's a clutch or hydraulic issue, then it will be hard to get into first and reverse. If it's just grinding 2nd gear, then it has to be something internal [2nd gear engagement teeth, slider, and/or ring(s) worn]. It could only be a coincidence as it just happened to start messing up after taking it outta storage. If this is the case, inevitably, you'll need a rebuild/upgrade. Check my sig for rebuild info/website info.

How do I drain all the break fluid and replace it with new stuff?

Open the bleeder and let it gravity bleed. Just keep the reservoir filled up.
