Default No 4th gear

I just finished my build with an LQ9/t56 combo 98 formula. Just installed a brand new spec stage 3 and started driving the car to find out it wont ever go in 4th gear, it just grinds and will never engage. With the car off I tried putting it in 4th, stick stays like its in gear but you can push the car and feel it grinding on the stick. Its a trans out of a junkyard with a warranty so Im not at a total loss but I don't wanna have to pull it if it could be a simple fix with hydraulics or shifter, its a stock hurst shifter with a short stick. Am i screw and have to pull it or is there another way?

If it never worked before and that shifter doesn't have adjustable stops, you may as well pull it.

Sounds like the synchro keys are broken. It is a very common failure in the T56 transmission. If you've got a warranty it's definitely time to take it back.
