Default questions regarding my first M6 F-body

Hopefully, you guys can help me out; I got my first M6 F-body a while back, I have driven manual cars before but nothing like an Fbody.

My car runs and drives fine, shifting at low RPM or high RPM, there is no problem. The drive train is fairly new and in good working order; maintenance is caught up, etc.

My car is an LT1 car, pretty stock, only mods are cat back and Pro 5.0 shifter; currently on a OEM replacement clutch.

Here's a few of my questions:

1: I can get into each gear except reverse without a problem, I have to use BOTH hands to put it into reverse, I don't think it is a problem with my clutch as I can engage 1-6 just fine, but reverse is my only problem. Is it an internals problem, do you other M6 guys have this issue as well?

2: My parking brake, is hard! I have to use both hands to fully engage it in the upright position. I can use it with one hand but need to give it alot of grunt to get it engaged. I'm sure this is not how its suppose to be; what can I start checking?

3: Clutch height; I have read and searched about this before but did not like some of the resolutions such as the drill mod, etc. I found this though: http://www.tickperformance.com/produ...%252dBody.html. If someone has one of these installed, could you provide feedback?

Any insight or advice would help; or at least a point in the right direction on which threads to read!

Thanks everyone.

As far as reverse goes it could be a problem with the reverse lock out solenoid. Also that master cylinder you posted is for an ls1 just like the drill mod. There are really no problems with the lt1 hydraulic system but they do make an adj master for the lt1 for bigger clutches like the twin disk

Sorry, I posted the LS1 one for reference, they have one for an LT1 as well. Is the solenoid something the home mechanic can mess with?

Reverse does not grind; just very hard to engage.

The reverse lock out should disengage anytime the car is not moving.

yep, I believe the reverse lock out should disengage below 3 MPH.

I'm going to try this write up: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...-solenoid.html

Hopefully it will determine if it is my solenoid or not.

Anyone have any ideas regarding my parking brake?
