Default Can ya'll give me tips on how to launch properly?

Ok so I went to the track last Wed. and tried to launch by feathering it out and had no success, the car bogged so bad I thought it turned off I smashed the gas and it took off. Then I brought the rpm to 2,000rpm and dumped the clutch and would burn up the MT ET streets in all I had horrible 60fts. I had a 2.7 60ft. 14.3@108mph, 2.3 60ft. 13.2@111mph, I think a 2.5 60ft then I just let off and cruised it for a superfast 15sec. 1/4mi. Haha So please help me with some tips I.m an M6 1998 Z28 all boltons ls6 intake and TSP TV2 CAM snd stock 3.42's no suspension. I had always been used to automatic very different worlds.

Should I maybe bring the rpm up to say 2,000rpm dump the clutch let the tires bite then smash the pedal cause what I was doing I would stall and when the third amber lit up I'd dump the clutch and simultaneously smash the gas pedal.

on the street with street tires I go from around 2000rpm, releasing the clutch quickly but not totally dumping it, and then squeezing the gas not just completely mashing it

You need to bring the rpm up and feather the clutch more. A GOOD launch is not going to be good for your clutch. For reference, on street tires I found that bringing the car to 3500 rpm and aggressively slipping the clutch gave me my best results. It should take 3/4-1 full second before the clutch is fully engaged. Wait to go full throttle until the clutch is all the way out. Using this method I had multiple 1.9 60fts on very worn street tires

I like to think of it as simultaneously releasing the clutch and feeding in throttle.
