Default Clutch problem?

Sometimes when I am releasing the clutch about half way, usually when first taking off there is a clicking sound. It does Not sound good. Anyone know what it could be?

I was JUST about to post this same exact question. Kind of like clicking/smacking sound and the clutch feels sort of locked in and takes more revs to get it accelerating. (just pulling in the driveway for example or driving over a speed bump)

I had that same sound although mine where the springs on the LS7 pressure plate I had. Mine was to the point where the clutch wouldnt disengage period. Might be a spring on the clutch disc itself then if you can still shift gear. What clutch, master cylinder are you guys running?

Damn I can't even ask or learn from people who are having the same issue? I highly doubt the OP is using the same exact setup as me. To top it off everything on my car is shop installed.

What brand clutch do you have?

If you've contacted the manufacturer of the unit and you're still unsure I'll be more than happy to help. I'd want the same things from my Monster customers if it were me.

So then this is a clutch issue? Or what is the problem? I want to take it back to the guys who installed everything. Thanks for your help!

There could be numerous things that can cause this. Bad bearings (pilot or release), uneven diaphragm spring due to either a manufacturers defect or an improperly torqued pressure plate.

Either of you can post up a video and I'll attempt to help.

It's either a bearing or a pressure plate. You'll know when you take it down. If it's either let me know, we have tons of bearings and clutches (obviously) in stock.
