Default Esiest way to remove pilot bearing?

I was doing the chisel method(after taping the bearing for 2hours and sharpening every screwdrivers I had, it was enough).

I will try this and give feedback, but I hope my chisel mess did not damage anything

Do that on an LS engine and you'll displace the crank plug, spewing oil all over your brand new clutch.

Advice fail.

Why don't you just rent/buy a blind hole puller and do it the easy way?

That method is no where near as clean, quick and easy as using a good blind hole puller.

This set from Autozone is free to rent, and as long as you grab one that isnt all mucked up, works like a dream on even rusty bearings that are falling apart. Use it, clean it up, take it back and get your deposit. I ended up finding a used set on craigslist though because I found many other uses for it. Neat tool to have.

You may have misunderstood what you heard...the blind puller set from AutoZone is the ****!

Works great, doesn't ding up the crank, and a few whacks w/ the slide hammer is all it takes to remove even stubborn factory pilot bearings.
