Depends what you do with the car. So what goals do you have for your car?

Uh I never had the steel one to compare it to but people I have talked to at cecil said it cut .1-.2 tenths off of the sixty with the steel one but lost 1 mph off the top end. You live and die from your 60' though

The balance of the motor will be thrown off from less weight. Just call them up and get the exact answer. I ordered mine from tick performance and they were really helpful, id give them a call

This isn't true... all of our flywheels, whether they are the 28# or 18# are zero balanced.

We do not recommend a stock flywheel with our units, as a matter of fact it voids the warranty. Give us a call and we'll go over your setup in detail, if you decide to go with the heavy flywheel we'll get you taken care of.

On a car with mild mods you'll have to increase the rpm in which you take off, other than that you pick up hp, the engine responds quicker than stock, and in mosts opinions it's more fun to drive. If you're a hard core drag racer we'll need to go over your setup in detail to choose the appropriate setup for you.

Give us a call!

I'm running the new design monster stage 2 with the lightweight flywheel and I absolutely love it. Great pedal feel and in my opinion, stock driveability with just a firmer pedal. When people say you might have to rev it more on a hill, they mean a steep *** hill you're stopped on. And its not even bad, its just a fraction more rpms to get you moving, normal city driving feels normal. Even my wife can drive my car easily in the city and she's one of the worst manual drivers I've seen ..

Since you are looking at the stage 2, its obviously not a complete drag car so go lightweight flywheel and never look back

its not a drag car or nothing just a mild street build. the exhaust, tune, lid and maf sensor r the only things ill be doing for now. atleast untill taxes come back.

also should i get a p&p throttle body before the tune or will it really make a diference? it will be on the stock 99 intake (junk, i know)

I was too and decided to pull the trigger on the lightweight, but seriously it feels stock to me, the extra weight of the Monster PP/disc makes up a little weight. I love the lightweight flywheel, and very glad I got it. Still simple to drive, little extra pull in the upper RPMs

opinion can be biased. I've seen other threads completely go against LW flywheels on the street. It depends on your setup and what you want. I went with a standard weight and I'm not looking back.

I agree you really need to look at the total set-up and goals. Gears, cam size, quality of the tune and agressiveness of friction material can skew opinions as well as the experience of the person driving the clutch or how drastic the change to the set-up was when the clutch was installed. IE coming from a stock clutch and getting a cam at the same time makes the car drive considerably different.
