Default McLeod Slave Cylinder Leaks!

I'm not trying to throw McLeod under the bus here but I'm at wits end with this slave cylinder. I've had the trans in and out of the car at least 10 times over the last few weeks because the slave cylinder leaks shortly after putting even a few miles on it. I'm going to miss the LTX Shootout as a result and I'm on the verge of ripping out the T56 completely and going auto.

Long story short, I converted the front half of my LT1 T56 to an LS1 using an LS1 input shaft and front case. I have a McLeod street twin, Quick Time SFI bell housing, Tick Master and McLeod 14-302 slave cylinder. Is any one using this slave and if so, are you having any issues with fluid leaking past the internal o-rings? We have measured bearing clearance several times and it is in spec with McLeod's recommended tolerances of 0.100 t0 0.125. The pedal is set very low to the floor so the slave would not be over extended.

The folks at McLeod have been very helpful but I have not been able to resolve this issue and according to them some small drops of fluid are normal. Unfortunately, my issue is more than just a few drops. The pressure plate is covered in fluid and fluid has also been gathering on the slave, input shaft collar and even dripping onto the floor through the inspection hole in the bell housing.

At this point, I'm just trying to figure out what could be causing this problem. It's driving me insane!

Default

I've found 2 other occurrences of this type of issue directly from close friends. Googling this issue reveals a lot of similar issues from everywhere. A friend overnighted me his 1300 series bearing to try and it leaks too, right out of the brass 90* fittings. WTF is going on with these bearings and when is someone going to start addressing these issues at McLeod? I've got over $2K of worthless McLeod parts sitting in my garage/car because I can't get *one* slave that DOES NOT LEAK.
