Never installed a clutch before. How hard is it?
My engine is in and my Spec stage 1 is ready to go in but I've never installed a clutch before. How difficult is it? I figure the hardest thing to do is install the T56 with the car only 18" off the ground.
What's the order everything goes in?
1. Bellhousing
2. Flywheel, torque bolts to 65 ft/lbs
3. Bolt on pressure plate
4. Install transmission
I'm sure there are steps inbetween. So what am I missing?

Very easy if you have a lift.
Not as easy if you don't.
This site comes in VERY handy for torque spec's. Trans info is down a way.

I'd bleed your hydraulics out completely and put fresh fluid in them while you're down there too.
The stuff I got out of the used Slave I bought was damn near black. I put DOT4 back in.
Get a 36" remote bleeder too....

I just did mine a few months ago. It took me about 12 hours from start to finish. It wasn't really that hard, just time consuming. I'm fairly mechanically inclined. This was the biggest job I've ever done on a car, though. I would suggest doing lots of research before you decide to tackle it. I was able to do it in my head before actually doing it which was helpful. I printed out the install university tutorial (posted above) and used that as a guide (even though its for an LS1 and I was doing an LT1).

12 hours what were you doing? From start to finish taking my time I get mine done in about 4 hours. The ls cars are a little different because of the hydraulics but not that hard. Do yourself a favor a get a speed bleeder while its out if you don't have one yet.

The T56 is already out and rebuilt so the hardest thing to do would be to lift it up and slide the input shaft in.
