Default Time to upgrade clutch...opinions needed

I'm a noob in the T56 manual world so bare with me and any advice is much appreciated. I've noticed at high RPM's/WOT, my clutch will sometimes stick to the floor. I hear is pretty common. Also, I find it hard to engade/shift into 4th & 5th gear at high RPM's/speeds. The car has just over 30k, fresh transmission fluid and clutch and I'm running a B&M ripper and everything else is factory.

What is a good upgrade for my set up that won't break the pocket book too bad?

Thanks

With your setup, nice driveability would be this and it won't hurt the bank.

http://www.byunspeed.com/index.php?c...a&filter_id=60 [get PNs 134-2201 and 330-2802]

the clutch kit will come with the alignment tool and the pilot bearing.

If you have further questions, let me know. Thanks.

Your issue sounds like its related to fluid transfer. If you haven't done the drill mod on the line that leads from your master to your slave then this would be recommended. If you do determine that you need a clutch, we offer 7 different single-disc clutch options. Take a look at the link below and let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to help you.

While you are at it, id the drill mod doesn't help, you really ought to replace the slave and master to insure that you address the issue of your pedal sticking. If you decide that you need a clutch let me know. Thanks!!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will be in touch. And no, I have not done the drill mod yet. I'm aware that this could help out. All these issues didn't start happening until I started throwing on power adders

I suggest the Monster Level 1 for a car as you describe. It's better than the LS7 clutch, not too much more expensive and it's warrantied.

Details here: http://www.tickperformance.com/produ...3A-450%29.html

...our Master Cylinder is a nice upgrade as well, and our Tick/Monster COMPLETE Clutch Swap Package comes with everything you should replace/upgrade while doing a clutch: http://www.tickperformance.com/ls1-f...-swap-package/

Thanks for the advice. I don't need anything too radical being I don't really track it. Just something nice and suttle but beefier then factory.

Exactly - the Monster Level 1 isn't radical at all.

The Level 1 would easily handle your power. It's only 8% stiffer than stock and literally drives like it just with a more postive engagement. Plus it comes with a 1-year/unlimited mileage warranty against manufacturers defect, let me know if you have any other questions. Chris, 817-750-2000
