Default home made speed bleeder?

dont get me wrong im all in for supporting vendors and people like Tick have answered questions for me, but I cant just justify spending 50 dollars+ for a metal line with a bleeder on the end..

has anyone taken the gold piece off and bought their own metal line with a bleeder valve on the end before? im sure one can be made for 15-20 bucks..

Thats how these things started being made but your better off just buying one unless your going to want it really long or to have some different features.

I bought a Tick bleeder and after receiving it I kicked myself for spending the money on it. If your not a complete imbecile you can make one yourself for right at $20.

any chance u know the specs for the line and bleeder?

and to the first response, yes i want it longer so i dont have to hold a buck inside in the engine bay.

stephen4036, who says you need to run it in the engine bay? i ran mine along the fuel lines under my body and exited out at the body end of my frame rail on drivers side where i put a 1 quart glass measuring cup with fluid in it and stick the end of my speed bleeder in it and can pump the pedal and observe the fluid..

mines out.. i would imagine all you would have to do is pull the gold sleeve, add a line (SS braided to high temps), then put any sort of bleeder on the end?

correct? Idk where you would go for this stuff? summit? hydraulic place?
