Default Replacing Clutch Questions

Ok so I have a H/C 2000 SS. I want to replace the stock clutch. Basically I want to know what all is needed to replace the clutch. Like all the parts that im going to need. Also is there any other parts I can replace or reccomended things to do while I have everything apart? Also I need suggestions on which clutch to get? I put down 426/414. Thanks for the help.

tick/monster complete clutch swap package. I'd go with level 2 so you have some room for more power.

$300 of that is for the Tick master cylinder, pricey but I've never heard someone say it's not worth it. I've added all of the parts up individually once and it think the kit was $50-100 cheaper. I'd call Tick and see if they'll give you a discount on the kit because there MC's and bleeder lines are on sale through a group purchase right now.

Flywheel obviously needs to resurfaced or replaced when out, usually best to get new Flywheel/Pressure Plate Bolts when you're re doing it all.

If you need a clutch, let me know. I have Ram and Centorforce kits in stock and give you a good Tech Member discount!

Doing Tick's package solves 100% of the headaches involved with a Fbody clutch system, it literally will replace everything.

Can't go wrong with the setup, plus the clutch is pretty nice too.

Yeah thats what I have noticed. Do you think I need to replace the bolts as well? If so should I go ARP or GM? And is there anything else I should or need to replace that is not in the kit.

If you aren't going to be running on a sticky tire a ls7 clutch would work just fine and feel like stock.

I put down 426/414 with a stock clutch. I was reading that with the proper clutch I would actually put down more. Is this correct? Thanks

I went ahead and got the tick complete clutch swap package. How hard is adjusting the master? Any advice or tips?

Great choice!

It's easy, the guys at Tick include instructions that will walk you through adjusting, call me if you have any questions during the install!
