I don't have any used T56s, but I sell freshly built/upgrades T56s for $2000 outright w/ Corvette internals (triple cone rings) and billet keys, steel 3-4 shift fork. Comes with a 12/12 warranty.
Keep in mind that most any used T56 will need a rebuild

Buying a used T56 for $1500 makes no sense to me unless you know for 100% it's in perfect condition. Like posted above, for another $400-500 you can buy a rebuilt unit outright and know what you are getting.

I just got mine from RPM Transmission in Indiana. Level 4 T56, a little more money than what you're talkin, but I think it will be well worth the piece of mind knowing you have a bullet proof tranny. Comes with warranty, and great service. I've only heard grood things from other people that have their trannies installed already. I'll post up when I get mine installed, early spring. Thanks Jermey and all from RPM!

Yea, good luck. Most are used and abused if they're still stock. I bought a whole dam car just because the t56 worked correct. For the longest time I was looking for one. But they were all bad condition IMO.
