I don't have any used T56s, but I sell freshly built/upgrades T56s for $2000 outright w/ Corvette internals (triple cone rings) and billet keys, steel 3-4 shift fork. Comes with a 12/12 warranty.
Keep in mind that most any used T56 will need a rebuild

Buying a used T56 for $1500 makes no sense to me unless you know for 100% it's in perfect condition. Like posted above, for another $400-500 you can buy a rebuilt unit outright and know what you are getting.

got one for sale here locally with LS bellhousing and clutch MC... its got like 100K on it for like $1000.... is this a good deal? still got to rebuild it?

I just got mine from RPM Transmission in Indiana. Level 4 T56, a little more money than what you're talkin, but I think it will be well worth the piece of mind knowing you have a bullet proof tranny. Comes with warranty, and great service. I've only heard grood things from other people that have their trannies installed already. I'll post up when I get mine installed, early spring. Yea, good luck. Most are used and abused if they're still stock. I bought a whole dam car just because the t56 worked correct. For the longest time I was looking for one. But they were all bad condition IMO.

i have a t56 with no problems in my car now with 45 thousand miles on it. still in the car you can come and drive it to make sure its in great condition for 1500. PM me if your interested in it
