01 camaro 6speed swap questions I'm doing an m6 swap in my 01 ss. I have a friend I'm trading complete swaps with.
M6 swapnquestions:
Will it be easier for us to trade complete engine/trans harneses?
Does the floor have to be cut/modified for the shifter?
Does the firewall have a me cut/modified?

Yes yes yes. Haha i wouldnt trade engines. Just the harnesses and pcms. Floor does have to be cut for shifter...use the lower shift boot as a reference for the cut...theres also threads on this. Firewall has to be modified- a hole has to be made for the master cylinder and 2 smaller holes for the u-bolt. Finding the correct location is tricky but just take measures of the holes from your friends car in relation to the pedal assembly as a template for your desired loacation.
