Best shift points for stock LS1
I usually shift a little above 6 grand for every gear and get by with that for the most part, but now I want to shift at the RPM that will get the most out of my powerband. Some spoiled kid at my school just got an '05 M3 and it's got paddle shifters, so when we race, I have to be on point with my shifts... I really want to retain the title of having the fastest car at my school (LS1 power!) When should I shift? It's an untouched 00' LS1?

Wow 2.73's It has never helped me to spin it higher than that at all but yours might be an exception because of the 2.73's. I would shift at 5700 from 1st to 2nd then shift higher from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th. It probably won't make too much of a difference shifting higher tho.
When i first dynoed my car with the stock tune in it and the car was mostly stock it still made good power at 6200 but the car feels pretty week at those rpm's and its never givin me any more et at the track by shifting higher.
Remember the stock rev limiter i think is at 6200 and the stock tach is slow so when shifting you will need to shift a little earlier based on the stock tach.

The things I say online sorry, 2.73 was for auto's correct? And actualy I believe I have 3.23s. The manuals had 2 options, 3.23 and 3.42 right? Because I remember looking up the vin code and seeing 2 options for rear gear ratio's for the T56 F Bodies.

You're right about having two options, but that was only for the A4's. All M6's came with 3.42's. Standard A4 gears are 2.73's with the option of 3.23's(standard for SS/WS6/Firehawk). You've definitely got 3.42's man.

Interesting thread, i would like to try some different shift points like that. The difference my car has between shifting from first to second at 5700 rpm is only about 400 rpms tho so if i shifted at 6400 in first the rpm drop would only be to around 5800-6000 too far past peak power.
So shifting 800 rpms or 1000 rpms above peak hp is not the best for all combinations.
I would still suggest with 3.42's shifting pretty high
