Default Name that flywheel!

UPDATED, please scroll down:
Do you recognize this flywheel? More importantly, will with work with a Mcleod RST?

It's not aluminium but it is lightweight.

I'd have it turned of course.

Thanks.

Still not 100% sure what kind of flywheel it is. I was told it's a Clutchmaster by the guy who sold me the car. It doesn't look like the one on their site though.

We took .036" off it with a lathe and there are still ridges in it. I hate to throw it away. Is that my only option? Is it ruined?
I'd hate to ruin a clutch because of it.

Thanks for your help.

Can anyone with experience comment on turning a flywheel .036 and it being safe to run?

Hard to say. If it was a full weight billet steel I would run it, but since it's thin on the backside I'm not sure how it would take the heat. I'd still want to take more off it if it looks like the picture above.

More material needs to be taken off IMHO. I look at a flywheel like a brake rotor, if you put new friction material on a rough uneven surface your going to have issues. Also remember the thinner the flywheel gets the more prone it is to warping and hot spots.

I'm hesitant to take much more off and still put it behind an engine. My rev limiter is right around 6800 rpms. I'd HATE to have it shatter. It's had .036" removed already. At what point do they become unsafe?

I've already bought a replacement, at this point I just want to know:

1. Is this still safe enough to sell in good faith?
2. What to sell it as? (brand?)
3. How much to ask?

I think it's scrap. I'd bet another .010 to .015 needs to be taken off still.

I wouldn't use it. Better to throw that away than have someone lose a foot.

Scrap. I could never in good faith recommend using that flywheel. It sucks, but much damage at all renders them unusable.

Speaking of flywheels,
What gm flywheel can i use behind a gen 4 58x motor with the thicker crank flange than 24x in a 98-02 fbody and fbody t56?

Gen 4 , gen 3, 24x, 58x, are not relevant to flywheel selection, there it's not a crank flange difference. the thicker flange from the 4l80 trucks is the only different 6 bolt flange that I can think of at the moment. New 58x vehicles change to ls1 flywheels all the time for aftermarket clutches, while fbodys and c5 cars run the ls7 clutch.
