Tired of babying my car, help me find a clutch
this is something i want to be absolutely sure about because these things are so expensive. ive heard monster, mcleod, ram, etc. buut i want to know which one fits ME best.
My future plans for my WS6:
1. Clutch
2. Tick Rebuilt T56
3. Moser 9"
4. Tick Polluter Cam
5. ~150 shot nitrous
somewhere near 500rwhp im guessing with the nitrous
I want a good DRAG clutch so no LS7.. im planning on running in a street legal drag series at a local track near me but still go cruising around when i want. Money isnt a major issue because im saving up for all the mods i need. thanks

I would at least recommend a monster, (when my car was a 6speed I had a level 4 and it worked great, grabbed hard and held on) realistically you need to know what your car puts out, add the nitrous, and then add another 100HP to that to be safe. Ex car puts out 400a 150 shot of spray,, You would have 550 HP,, SO DONT GET A CLUTCH THATS RATED FOR 600, make sure you buy enough clutch. You cant get too much in my opinion. Also expect a reduced clutch life performance clutches that are street driven are never gonna last as long as a docile OEM clutch behind a stock engine..

If I was you Id run a Monster Level 3 clutch. I believe level 3 is good up to 700hp/tq, and Ive heard nothing but good things about them. I just helped install a level 1 into a buddy's car a few months ago and there have been no complaints.

Yes, call Mike Yeager at EASTCOASTPERFORMANCE. i picked his brain about the LS7 vs. Monster and he broke it down for me. Final verdict is that i daily drive about 15k a year and go the strip about 3 times a year. So LS7 will be my choice in terms of clutch life and the ability to hold up to 450 rwhp realistically.
My car will never see north of 400 rwhp any time soon.

The OP plans to have 500whp with nitrous. If that's the case an LS7 clutch is out of the question.
