I have a T-56 out of a 06 GTO that had a leaking tail shaft seal. So, i pull the shaft off the back and this is what fell out.



Can someone tell me what it is and does? The car is hard to shift at high rpms even with a Tick master.

2 of 3 syncho keys and a mangled synchro spring. Take that thing out ASAP for a rebuild or the parts bill is just going to go up and up.

Thanks for the info sounds like a reason to get a t-56 magnum.

yep its a blocker ring and keys pull it soon and rebuild if you take it out and decide to get a magnum would you like to sell it pm if your interested
