Default Spec Stage 1 or LS7 clutch

I just recently picked up another LS1 after being out of the game for a while and what do you know I'm already having issues.

The pedal is sticking to the floor and tomorrow I plan on going through the process of figuring out what the issue is. I already tried bleeding the lines but the pedal still doesn't retain pressure. Next on the list is to check out the master cylinder then slave. If it gets all the way to the slave I plan on just replacing the clutch while I'm at it.

Which clutch would be better for an almost stock 02 ws6 (slp lid and catback exhaust)? I plan to do a cam swap and full exhaust at some point down the road, most likely atleast 6 months out. But nothing more.

Looking for those with experience with either or both and which they think is better especially for the price.

Spec for sure. I've had the stage 2 and now the stage 3+. I ran a ls7 last year and didn't like it nearly as much as my specs

I know someone who has the spec stage 1. No problems with it at all. He has ported 243 heads, cam and all bolt ons. Hasent run with sticky tires yet but has been to track on street tires and it holds great.

SPEC Stage 1...no doubt. It has greater capacity, it eliminates the stock SAC-ratcheting plate design (which can and often does misadjust and lead to improper release and actuation), and it offers greater consistency and durability too!

I'm gana have to go with a write in vote. I love my Monster level 1 with the 18# flywheel, no need to worry about shimming the slave cylinder or any of that crap. Also if your pedal is sticking to the floor this is the ultimate solution.

Plendy of aftermarket clutches out there that drive very close to stock and still hold 500 - 600 hp. Your not really going to notice a difference until you go to a puck design. Spec, monster, TDP stage 1 are all much better than the LS7 in every way.
