Default lugging and shifting

I was reading around on ls1 read first forum, and saw that it said not to lug, something bout not having it I'm too high of gear at low speed, I have a m6, at what rpm do u guys shift while cruising around, what is to low of an rpm? Another reason I'm asking about this cause I notice after 20 minutes of continously driving or so my transmission shifter starts to get rattly and alittle noisy, even ride seems to start feeling rougher

Same thing happened to me. When I first bought my car no one had warned me that you could shift too low (trying to optimize fuel economy). During many shifts now, my transmission clunks around and I hear tiny chatter with increased rpm. I think 1500 is the lowest I will be going, seems like a safe number

I'm no expert but it seems that the damage is already done and the chatter is pretty much always there. I've read that the chatter is related to the worn pilot bearing in the slave cylinder. But I'll be upgrading my stock clutch system soon

Someone said the pilot bearing maybe also, like sometimes at a stop I got noise I can just push pedal back in and let go and noise is gone
