i know this has probably been posted many times before but i havnt had much success using the search....im in need of a rebuild for my t56 at a resonable price. Just wondering if anyone has experience with any of the sponsors and who i should sent the trans to for fixing. i have no prob shipping but local would be a plus. i currently live in the wichita ks area. thanks

I'm also in the same boat and only a state away. I was going to go with tick but they are in the middle of relocating. Any other sponsors want to chime in? I'd much rather pay to guys keeping this place running, as my local options are well... Not so trusting.

In all seriousness, do NOT take it to a local mom and pop place. It should be rebuilt by a specialist.

I'd rebuild it myself before taking it to any local shop. If it had fewer miles I'd just do the rebuild, but I'm wanting all new bearings installed which equals more headache than I'm willin to fight through.

How many miles? The bearings last awhile and don't always need to be replaced. The bearings in my 80k mile T56 were in perfect shape so I'm reusing them.

193,000 miles. Bearings might be ok but I'd rather not lose sleep over it.

Yeah I'd replace them with that many miles too.
