Default Need some help, problems checking for shim with new Throw Out Bearing

Like the topic says, I followed the sticky made by Tick and when I check with my new Throw out bearing I get way too much clearance. I am running a brand new Textralia OZ700 clutch and a new GM throwout bearing I got from Tick through Colorado Speed.

For A in his diagram I get 2.3875"and for B I get 1.9325"which make the spacing between the two .455". So I figured something is definately not right so I dug out my stock throught bearing. Mind you both are GM units with AP stamped on both of them. With my stock one I get A at 2.3875 and B is now 2.302 which gives me .0855 clearance which is more than an 1/16 and less than an 1/8 just like they say. Does the master cylinder pump up at all to change the clearance as I have not bled it I just got it out of the box and installed it?Here is a picture of both of them side by side with both bottomed out. The new one sits about .300 lower than the old one.

Shim it. Does kind of look like your old one isn't compressed all the way.

You can see the line where the old one stopped about 1/4 inch from the bottom. It has a metal spacer in it that looks to protect the seal. It is fully bottomed out though, but it looks weird to me too. I put the new bearing on the old hydraulics and measured it too and the clearance was about a quarter of an inch so something is definately different about the stock one and the new one. Can I use .330 of shims stacked to get it to .125 spacing they say is needed?

Yes shim it, if not properly shimmed you will have issues.
