Monster Stage II supposed to engage 1" off the floor?

Default Monster Stage II supposed to engage 1" off the floor?

just got one installed.
engages like 1" off the floor.
normal?
will raise up a bit as part of the break in?
other?

Mine does exactly the same, and I'm using a Tilton 7/8 master cylinder. One thing for sure, it grabs like hell!

I installed my Monster stage 2 with a Tick adjustable master cylinder and mine engages about half way

mine,1 inch also nothing wrong with it GREAT CLUTCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had a monster stage 3 that did the same thing, seems like they do that unless you have the adjustable master, but yea it grabbed great

ok cool.
almost already used to it already after just one day.
just wanted to make sure it was normal.
sooooooooooooo happy with zero chatter and the car is much smoother now too.

Glad to hear you're happy with the clutch.

They should, when fully bled on stock hydraulics, start to engage at about 40% travel and finish engagement just over 50% travel. Sounds like you have air in the system or your running an adjustable master. You can fine tune the adjustable master to your liking, just be cautious to not over extend the pressure plate.

my monster stage three chatters sins the day i got it now it makes a howling sound when starting off.
