Default Mcleod RXT

after weeks of searching the forums for reviews, i went with the RXT. a few days ago, i had the above mentioned clutch put in my trans am and its the best clutch i have ever ran. in the 12 year history of my car i have ran had 5 other setups and this is by far the smoothest of any. it holds the power and engages beautifully.

I just ordered the RXT yesterday. What master cylinder are you running? Glad you like it!

Running the same clutch on mine with a McLeod adjustable master and our custom converted TR6060. Can't wait to row gears with it!

In my eyes they are a great clutch. We've been doing atleast 1 a week for months and have used them for a few years.

There is absolutely no problem running the stock hydrolics either.

Thanks for the kind words and support. I highly recommend using the OEM master with those clutch's due to the fact they only require .400" of bearing travel and the larger bore masters tend to over stroke the pressure plate.

Would it be ok to run you all's master with the RXT?

If you have one currently you may want to look into putting a pedal stop at about 7/8" to 15/16" of rod travel. For those that have the OEM and are in the market for both a clutch and the master then I say keep the oem style if your going with the RST/RXT clutches.

Just out of curiosity what are the major differences between the RST/RXT/Street Twin. My Street Twin has been in since 2004 with McLeod Master Cylinder. Has been great, just makes me worry about my 10-bolt.

The difference between the two is the disk material.
The RXT has an extra 200hp capacity and can deal with more heat.

I am running a wilwood master right now. I cannot remember if it's the 3/4" or 7/8". Along with the stock slave would this be an okay setup for the rxt? Also does the mating surface of the flywheel matter for the rxt?

Just installed the RXT on a C6ZO6 and so far it is awesome. I am still in the break-in period but it has smoothed out during the engagements and drives like the stocker did with the same engagement point and mannerisms. I used the McLeod flywheel and the stock slave cylinder. I have about 270 miles on it and can't wait to get it broken in. Great clutch.

I guess I will be ordering the rxt....do you think it's over kill for a street car with 480ish to he tire and a 150 shot on occasion? Should I have it balanced first from tick?

I might jzust get a new slave and master from gm instead of the tick setup

I use a Tick master with my RXT and love it. I believe if It's adjusted correctly, you shouldn't have any problems. Mine disengages with very little pedal travel.

Hey guys, for regular street driving... mostly interstate, how long could one expect an RST or RXT to last?
