Default 2000 camaro ss 6 speed fluid

I want to change the fluid in my 2000 camaro ss with a 6 speed, It says on the case DEX-3, any suggestions on better fluids that wont cause damage ?

I hear that DEX VI is better overall

WAAAYYYY TOO THIN for the T56es, of ANY vintage!

In fact, some feel that even the thicker Dex 3 is too thin for hot summer use, and use an MTL synchromesh product instead (Amsoil MTF, Red Line MTL, Pennzoil Synchromesh, one of the GM Synchromesh fluids, etc.).

I think I may just go with the dex 3
