Trans wont go into gear with traction control on.

Trans wont go into gear with traction control on. I have a 00 WS6 6speed with around 40k miles. When traction in engaged/on you can not put the trans in gear but when its off their is no problems. Does anyone have any thought on what the problem maybe? Thanks for any help.
