Default Chirping sound coming from bellhousing area

Or atleast I think it is....chirp chirp chirp....gets faster / slower with engine RPM. Just put a Monster stage 3 in it at the beginning of the year. Thinking maybe the pilot bushing or throwout bearing? Doesn't change sound by engaging / disengaging the clutch though....

It does sound like a bearing issue. Generally speaking, if this were relative to the release bearing, the noise would change when the pedal is depressed. You can certainly check both when the trans is down but my guess is that your sound is coming from the pilot.

Thanks for the reply. Probably should've put a new pilot and throwout in it with the clutch. The throwout has probably 50k miles on it behind my old Spec 3 and the pilot has 80k on it with alot of high rpm dumps at the track.

I put the roller pilot bearing in it around 8k miles when I put my first aftermarket clutch in it. Car now has like 85k miles on it.

Update what? The link to pics?

With that many miles, it really is time for a new bearing. You really should replace them whenever you install a new clutch. I have these on the shelf if you need them. Just let me know!!

Gotcha, if you don't still have the one included with the Monster kit let me know.

No, I assume this clutch is in the T/A?

Didn't get a new one with the clutch. Yes this is in the T/A.

Probably going to have to pull it soon and replace both bearings in there. :-(

Whether you purchase a basic or premium kit we always include a both a new pilot bearing and release bearing for a F-body...give me a call, we have both.

Your sig says Spec 3, so just making sure you don't have us confused
