Default LT1 M6 swap. unique problem/question

So I'm doing my auto to m6 swap on my 97 T/a. I ran into an issue today. It doesnt seem like i have enough clearance between my pacesetter Lt headers and the tunnel to actually route the slave to the transmission. Right now its stuck right by the steering shaft and header. I cannot see anyway that it will fit to go down there. I tried for at least an hour every possible feasable way to fit it through. Is this just me or is it usually a pain to get it down there?? I have everything else mounted, just can't get the slave in place.

Any tips or tricks??

Well i figured it out. It turns out you have to remove the steering shaft knuckle. It solved my problem. (For future searches)
