C5 tail housing swap

I've got a 07 C6 trans and im looking to put it in my C5... is it as easy as swapping the rear housing to the C5 version so it'll mate to the C5 diff?

I think you just need to swap your input on the diff.

I wouldn't change anything on the trans.

edit- my post is useless. Maybe it is just the intermediate case?

Has to be 27 spline output to match your diff. Seals interchange. So yes.

I know they're both 27 spline.. I guess my question was what needs to be done after swapping the rear housings. Come to find out you need to check and re-shim the extension shaft... whatever that is. Lol
